The 2020 season was auspicious for the Silverstone based BWT sponsored Racing Point team with a fourth in the World Constructors Championship, being narrowly pipped by McLaren in the last race.
They also secured their first win through Sergio Perez’s efforts in Russia and first pole in Turkey by Lance Stroll.
Nico Hulkenberg was their reserve driver and due to Covid prohibiting drivers from participating he would race in place of Sergio at the two British races and Lance at the Eifel event.
